This change order changes removing pavement Station 165+10 to Station 178+00 to special pavement removal. The price for special pavement removal is 70; of the removing pavement price. After the bituminous was removed, it was determined the subsurface was a macadam structure rather than concrete, as shown on the plan. The terms of the contract are hereby amended to add Item 90014, Special Pavement Removal. Item 20401, Removing Pavement from Station 165+10 to Station 178+00 will be changed to the new Item 90014, Special Pavement Removal. In the process of construction, it was determined that the material under the bituminous surface was a macadam structure rather than concrete pavement. All work shall be performed in accordance with the pertinent requirements of the standard specifications for removing pavem_a*_ aad as directed by the engineer in the field. Measurement and payment for special pavement removal will be in accordance with removing pavement except the unit price will be as detailed below (unit price for special pavement removed is 70% of removing pavement Item 20401).
