Home My WebLink About34677 / 87-368 December 3, 79II7 H 368 RESOLUTION (CARRIEO LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: REVISE/CONSOLI�ATE RENTAL RATES - GRAND OPERA HOUSE INITIATE� BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the Oshkosh Cortmon Council has previously approved various rates for rental of the Grand Opera House; and WHEREAS, the Grand Opera House Advisory Board, upon additional review by the Grand Opera House Manager, has recommended various rate changes and consoli- dation of all such rates; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the attached comprehensive revision, including any new provisions, of Rental Rates and User Classifications for the Grand Opera House, is approved. '' .� �. .. .- . ��---�� - 19 - � Resol . �368 ' 17 November 1987 GRAND OPERA HOUSE RENTAL RATES and USER CLASSIFICATIONS COMPREHENSIVE REVISION - 17 NOVembeL 1987 RENTAL RATES CLASSIFICATION OF USERS: Users of the Grand Opera House will be considered in one of two categories: Commercial and Non-commercial. COMMERCIAL users are for-profit producers that come to the GOH through commercial booking agents, or private enterprise, either local or national. NON-COMMERCIAL users are not-for-profit organizations, such as the local community groups, or non-local groups which come through local not-for-profit sponsorship. (BEVISED) RATE FOR COMMERCIAL USERS: Performances 5750.00 or E1 .25 per ticket sold, vhichever is greater. If there is more than one performance on a single day, rental shall be based on a per diem basis counting the total sales for the day. For the purposes of separating performances from rehearsal and load in/out costs, a performance shall be considered to continue for 4.5 hours from performance call, regularly 90 minutes from curtain time. Load in/LOad-OUt and/or Rehearsal on same day or any time prior to or after performance: $60.00 for the first two hours plus $15.00 per hour until call, then $15.00 per hour after 4.5 hours performance time. NB. Whenever the $60 .00/$15.00 formula is used, the two hour minimum, ( $60.00 ) , shall not be assessed more than once in a single day. RATE FOR COMMERCIAL PRESENTERS: Rehearsals $60.00 for the first two hours, plus $15.00 per hour there- after. RATE FOR NON-COMMERCIAL USERS: Performances 5200. 00 or $1 .00 per seat whichever is greater. Load in/LOad-OUt and/or Rehearsal on same day or any time prior to or after performance: $60.00 for the first two hours plus $15.00 per hour until call, then $15.00 per hour after 4,5 hours performance time. RATE FOR NON-COMMERCIAL PRESENTERS: Rehearsals $60.00 for the first two hours, plus $75.00 per hour there- after. SPECIAL RATE FOR NON-TECHNICAL REHEARSALS Non-rechnical rehearsals, (i .e. rehearsals which require no support from GOH Technical Coordinator) , $30.00. This rate covers use of the stage area only, with no technical support, minimal lighting, (stage work-lights only) , and no adjustments to heat or air-conditioning whatsoever. Any additional support beyond opening and closing the hall will be assessed to lessee. Heat may be adjusted provided lessee agrees to cover cost of same. The final determination concerning the use of this classification will be made by the GOH Manager in consultation with the GOH Technical Coordinator. All other rehearsals will be considered regular rehearsals and the above rates will be used. SPECIAL RATES FOR NON-TICRETED EVENTS For non-ticketed private events which reauire only minimal support from GOH Technical Coordinator, 550.00 plus technical support @ $10.00 per hour. (NEw) For non-ticked events vhich reauire more substantial technical suoport, such as sales meetings, private variety shows, etc. , $200.00 plus technical support as determined by GOH Manager & Technical Coordinator. Normally these costs will be billed at the $60.00 + 515.00 scale.
