HomeMy WebLinkAbout35005 / 88-231 A E V I S E D August 4 , 1988 AUgUSt 18, 1988 g205 9 231 OADINANCE FIRST READING SECON� READING (CARRIED ______ LOST ______ LAID OVER ______ WITHDAAWN ______) A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING SECTION 18-79.1 OF THE OSHKOSH MONICZPAL CODE PEFTAINING TO PROPERTY MAINTENANCE REGO- LATIONS The Common Council of he City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . That Section 18-79.1 (A) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to the mainte�ance of the exteriors of structures � within the City of Oshkosh is repealetl and recreatetl to read as follows : (A) The ezterior of every structure or accessory structure, resitlential antl no�-residential including fences, shall be main- tained by the owner , occupant or person authorized to use same , in good repair a�d all surfaces thereof shall be kept painted or covered with exterior siding material intended for that use by the ma�ufacturer for purposes oF preservation and appearance. The same shall 6e maintai�ed by the owner, occupant or person authorized to use same , free of broken or missing siding , loose shingles , crumbling stone or brick , excessive peeling paint or other contli- tions reflective of deterioration or inadequate mainte�ance. SECTION 2. That Section 18-79•1 (B) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to the maintenance of outdoor premises xithi❑ the City is repealed and recreated to read as follows: (B) Any junk , including , but not limited to: wood , bricks , broken concrete , cinder block , inoperable vehicles or machinery or parts thereof� refrigerators , furnaces , washing machines or dryers , stoves , or other unsightly tlebris � such as may tend to depreciate property values i� the area or create a nuisance or hazartl shall not be allowed on any property by the owner or oecupant thereof, ezcept when such materials are properly housed inside and out of public view. Lots in residentially developed areas shall be kept free , by the owner and/or perso❑ authorized to use same, of dirt piles, ruDble and any other material or conditions which might hintler maintenance of the property , except that dirt piles used for land- scaping purposes shall be levelled and said areas seeded for grass within thirty (30) days of the date of delivery of the dirt. SECTION 3.
