PURPOSE: AMEND SOLID WASTE ORDINANCE
INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING SECTION 23-4 (L) thru (0) OF THE
OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO SOLID WASTE AND PREPARATION OF RUBBISH AND
GARBAGE FOR COLLECTION
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1 . That Section 23-4 (L) thru (0) are amended and recreated
to read as follows:
(L) Newspapers must be kept separate from magazines and other
solid waste, and tied in bundles not exceeding fifty (50)
pounds.
(M) Magazines must be kept separate from newspapers and other
solid waste, and tied in bundles not exceeding fifty (50)
paunds.
(N) Grass clippings, vines and ]eaves must be kept separate
from all other solid waste and placed in biodegradeable paper
bags clearly marked with a factory seal as such.
(0) Leaves, grass clippings and vines will not be picked up with
the solid waste routes between October 15 and April 15.
(P) Toxic or hazardous wastes are not allowed in the solid
waste stream, and will not be picked up.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in ful] force and effect from
and after its passage and publication.
