PURPOSE : 47AIVE BIDS AND AUTHORIZE AERIAL LIFT TRUCR REPAIR
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS , the City owns a 1969 aerial lift bucket truck,
presently used by the Forestry Division; and
WHEREAS, periodic eXamination and replacement of necessary
components are required; and
WHEREAS , the 1989 City budget has funds allocated for this
purpose; and
WHEREAS, the original man�facturer is the sole vender to
per£orm this work.
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of Oshkosh to authorize the proper City officials to
waive bids and purchase aerial boom retrofitting as outlined
in a letter dated September 12 , 1988 , aaotation in the amount
of $16, 270. 00 . Said funds to come from account 062-380 Forestry
and Maintenance of Equipment.

entire unit is essential for maintaining the equipment in a safe and
trouble-free condition after an extended period oP .use.� Correct :�
overhaul intervals a=e determined by use factors, such as exposure �,
to weather, severity of use, amount of. xoad travel, and quality� of !I
! maintenance, Under average conditions, a unit should be overhauled i
��: afte=�-3�years or 6000 hours use, whichever comes first. [3ours of
