Rohloff, Ciry Manager DATE: May 1, 2015 RE: Council Chambers Modilications Committee Recommendations As you may be awaze the Council Chambecs in City Hall (Room 40� was last updated in 1995. A Council Chambers Modificatio�s Committee was established to �eview future considerations and updates foc chambers and the adjoining meeting room (Room 404). Mayor Cummi�gs, Council mcmber Paoske, Council member Pech and city s[aff participa[ed on[he committee. The committee has completed their review and has provided the following recommended modifications, CIP allocations/timelines and estimated costs. For 2015 the CIP Major Equipment budget has allocatcd $70,000 for replacing the circa 2002 broadcasting equipment in Council Chambers Room 406 (4 camecas, new video switchec, new graphics controller, audio mixer and associated recording equipment). This equipment is anticipated to be installed in the fall, 2015. The $7Q000 budgct is fully committed with the above mention equipment. �or 2016 the wmmit[ee recommends allocaUng $40,000 in the 2016 CIP Property Improvemeuts to roplacc circa 1995 Cou¢cil Chambe�s Room facility and technology items. Updates include ca�pet tile, audience seating reLnishing, display monitors, document cameca, assistive listeni�g accommodations, security monitoring and microphone/audio improvements. For 2017 (he committee recommends allocating $40,000 in the 2017 CIP Major Equipment to replace circa 2003 bcoadcasting equipment in Room 404 (4 cameras, camera control units and associated recording equipment).
