The garage door and adjacent trim shall be replaced. The broken east and west windows in the garage shall be reglazed. Tf�e first floor box sill shalt be insulated. The spliced first floor joist at the south end of the basement shall be replaced or reinforced with a joist running full span. Other joists in the : south part of the basement which sag where they butt into the headers shall be , restored to proper position and equipped with joist hangers. A handrail shall be instalted for the stairway to the second floor at a height of 32" above the � ' noise of the treads and preferably on the left hand side as one mounts the stairs. Casing shall be instatled on the south side of the door opening at the top of the stairway to the second floor. The ceiling in the kitchen shall be replaced. The north windows of the front porch shall be removed and the area reframed and a new picture window with a rought opening size of approximately 4' X 5' , with double pane insulating glass or single pane glass with storm window, shall be installed, comptete with drip cap. The exposed wall framiny sha11 be insulated for the full-thickness of the stud spaces, and the interior shall be drywalled or paneled and properiy finished. The wall between the living room and front porch shall be removed and a header shall be installed to support structure above if necessary, and adjacent wall areas shall be repaired. The floor of the porch shall be made flush with the floor of the living room, and the front entrance door shall 6e adjusted if necessary, $ SIDING: 2. The exterior of the dwelling and garage shall be resided with aluminum siding with insulating or composition type backing. The roof soffits and door and window casings shall be covered with aluminum. $ ROOFING: � 3. Existing roofing shall be removed on dweiling and garage. Roof sheathing shall be repaired where necessary. New 235 lb, seal -down asphalt roofing shall be � applied, complete with metal edging and flashing. A roof vent shall be installed for the main area of the attic, and ventilation shall be assured for the south portion of the attic. $ EXTERIOR STAIRS: 4. The front exter'►or stairs shall be replaced and shall be equipped with a hand- rail mounted 32" above the nose of the treads. $ � � � ELECTRICAL: . 5. The light fixture in the southwest corner of the basement, the ceiling light fixture in the first floor southwest bedroom, and the four wall fixtures on the second floor shall be replaced. $ PLUMBING: 6. A sump hole shali be installed and connected to the drain tile in the basement. The drain tile which connects to the floor drain shall be sealed shut. A sump ' pump shall be installed and equipped with piping to discharge the clearwater to ` the outside of the dwelling. T $ FLOOR COVERING: 7. New vinyl inlaid flooring shall be installed in the kitchen. New carpeting shalt be installed in the living room and front porch. $ OWNER: 8. The handrail for the stairway to the basement shall be reinstalled. The wall material shatl be repaired in the bathroom where the light fixtures are re- placed. Any new surfaces created in the remodeling shall be properly finished, including painting or wallpapering any new drywalled areas, and painting, or staining and varnishing any new wood areas. f �
