PUAPOSE: INITIAL RESOLUTION FOR NATEA h1AIN AND SAHITARY SEYIEP.
INITIATED BY: DEPAATMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City oP Cshkosh as
FO110W5 :
1. The Common Couneil hereby declares its intentio❑ Lo
exercise its power under Section 66.60 of the Wisconsin St�tutes to
levy special assessments upon property within the following des-
cribed area for benefits conferred upon such property by irriproveme�t
of the followir:g nart;ed streets , said publi.c improvernent shall con-
sist of the installation of sanit�ry scwer and water c.ai❑ as hereir.-
after listea :
(Sae F.xhibit A attached hereto . )
2. The total amount assessed against such district shall r�oC
exceed the total cost of the improveme�t and the amount assesscd
against any parcel shall not be greater than the benefit accruir,G
thereto from said improvements.
3• The assessments against a�y parcel may be paid accordin�; to
the provisions of Sectio❑ 25-83 thru 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal
Code .
4. The Board of Publie Works is direeted to prepare a repor�L
consisting of:
(a) Final plans and specifications for said Smprovecentie:.
(b) An estimate of the entire cost of the improvement�
and laterals.
(c) An estimate as to each parcel of property within the
assessment district of:
( 1 ) The assessment of benefits to be levied for
eaeh improvement.
(2) The damages to be awarded for property taken
or damages by each improvement.
(3) The net amount of benefits over damages or of
damages over benefits for each improvement.
Upon completion of such report � the Board of Public Works
is directed to file a copy thereof in the City Clerk 's office fcr
public Snspection.

5. Upon receiving tY�,e repert of the Roard of Public 4iorks , the
City Clerk is directed to give notice of a public hearing on such
reports as specified in Section 66.60(7) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The hearing shall be held by the Board of Pu� lic Works at the
Council Chambers in the City Hall at a time set by the Clerk ir.
accordance with Section 66.60(7) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
6. The Wisconsi❑ Public Service Corporation of Oshkosh,
Wisconsin , is hereby required to install gas mains i❑ said streets
and service laterals at such intervals as the Hoartl of Public 47orks
shall direct, said uork to be completed prior to the improvement of
said street� the City Clerk shall forward a certified copy of thi;.
resolution to said corporation forthwith.
7. The Board of Public Works and the proper City officials
shall do all things necessary so as to complete the installation of
storm sewers in said streets prior to the Smprovements thereof, if
necessary .
8. The installatio❑ of said street improvements shall be
accornplished accordi�g to Che provi�io�s of °ection 25-3 thru 25-17.
