April 5, 1990 April 19, 1990 # 582 #90-14 ORDINANCE FIRST READING SECOND READING (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: AMEND SECONDHAND DEALERS LICENSE INITIATED BY: POLICE DEPARTMENT A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING SECTIONS 8-69 AND 8-74 . 1 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO SECOND HAND DEALERS The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 8-69 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to license required for second hand dealers is amended by repealing and recreating the first sentence of this Section to read as follows: No person shall buy for resale or for the use of precious metals contained therein any articles of personal property, such as but not limited to second-hand furniture, household goods, antiques, firearms, radios; computers and related hardware and software, electronic components, equipment, games, and game cartridges; records and albums, cassette and other recording tapes, compact discs; watches, articles of personal jewelry and any other articles of personal property without being specially licensed for such purposes. (Explanatory note: the balance of this Section remains unchanged. ) SECTION 2 . That Section 8-74. 1 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to licensee restricted is amended by deleting the words "sixteen (16) " and inserting in their place the words "eighteen (18) " .
