(CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN )
PURPOSE: WAIVE BIDS & PURCHASE EQUIPMENT/WAUKAU AVENUE
LIFT STATION
INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, when the City of Oshkosh entered into an agreement
for sanitary sewer services with the Town of Black Wolf Sanitary
District, it was anticipated that the Waukau Avenue lift station,
originally constructed to serve the Stoney Beach area and
designed for enlargement only by changing to larger pumps and
controls, would require upgrading; and
WHEREAS, because many of the properties in the Sanitary
District are now connecting to the system, the lift station
capacity needs to be increased, with the costs to be borne by the
City and the District per terms of the agreement; and
WHEREAS, because the lift station was designed around the
Flygt system and must be upgraded with similar equipment, it is
necessary for the Common Council to waive bids and purchase the
necessary materials from a sole supplier; .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the
City of Oshkosh that the proper City officials are authorized and
directed to waive bids and purchase pumps and controls to enlarge
the Waukau Avenue lift station, per the attached proposal, from:

Dear Tom:
I talked with Bob Orth of OMNNI last week regarding who was covering
the cost of the new pumps and controls. He indicated that Black Wolf
should be paying for the uporade to 10 HP, however, I should send
the quote to youe We quote as followse
2 - Flygt 4" CP-3127X-483 submersible sewage pumps (see attached
curve) . These pumps will fit the existing 4" base elbows. Each
unit will be complete with 50' of power cable and 25' of oalvanized
lifting chain. Motors shall be 10 HP, 230/460 3-phase 60 Hz
explosion proof FN approvede
Price each net $3,627,OQ
If the pumps are ordered for 208/3/60 volt power, add $394.00 per unite
We feel that the best alternative to the control panel is to replace it
with a complete new unit. A new Sta-Con panel consisting of:
1 - Nema 3R enclosure for pole mounting, 240/3/60 Hz service, 3-wire
2 - combination manetic starters with circuit breaker disconnect
1 - Sta-Con duplex pump sequencer with test switches
2 - Sta-Con intrinsically safe relays for high and low water
alarms
