HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-149 June 21, 1990 # 90-149 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: WAIVE BIDS & PURCHASE EQUIPMENT/WAUKAU AVENUE LIFT STATION INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WHEREAS, when the City of Oshkosh entered into an agreement for sanitary sewer services with the Town of Black Wolf Sanitary District, it was anticipated that the Waukau Avenue lift station, originally constructed to serve the Stoney Beach area and designed for enlargement only by changing to larger pumps and controls, would require upgrading; and WHEREAS, because many of the properties in the Sanitary District are now connecting to the system, the lift station capacity needs to be increased, with the costs to be borne by the City and the District per terms of the agreement; and WHEREAS, because the lift station was designed around the Flygt system and must be upgraded with similar equipment, it is necessary for the Common Council to waive bids and purchase the necessary materials from a sole supplier; . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to waive bids and purchase pumps and controls to enlarge the Waukau Avenue lift station, per the attached proposal, from: TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT SALES, Inc. 6715 Seybold Road P.O. He indicated that Black Wolf should be paying for the uporade to 10 HP, however, I should send the quote to youe We quote as followse 2 - Flygt 4" CP-3127X-483 submersible sewage pumps (see attached curve) . These pumps will fit the existing 4" base elbows. Each unit will be complete with 50' of power cable and 25' of oalvanized lifting chain. Motors shall be 10 HP, 230/460 3-phase 60 Hz explosion proof FN approvede Price each net $3,627,OQ If the pumps are ordered for 208/3/60 volt power, add $394.00 per unite We feel that the best alternative to the control panel is to replace it with a complete new unit.
