PURPOSE: KEENVILLE ANNEXATION

PLAN COMMISSION ACTION: Approved 6-1
A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
IN THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AND SPECIFICALLY TO THE 15TH WARD OF SAID
CITY.
WHEREAS , an annexation petition duly circulated has heretofore
been signed by the owners of more than 50% of the land in the area
within such territory, and a majority of the electors residing in said
territory, notice of intention to circulate an annexation petition for
direct annexation having been duly published, and a copy of said
notice with a scale map reasonably showing the boundaries of the area
sought to be annexed and its relation to the municipalities involved,
having been duly served upon the affected municipal and school
district clerks and the Director of the Planning Function, Department
of Resource Development, State of Wisconsin, within five ( 5 ) days of
the date of publication of said notice , adoption of this Ordinance
shall constitute acceptance of the petition of annexation; and
WHEREAS , more than twenty ( 20 ) days have lapsed since the
publication of the notice of intention to circulate such annexation
petition and not more than one hundred twenty ( 120 ) days have lapsed
since the filing of the annexation petition; and
WHEREAS , the Director of Planning Function of the Department of
Resource Development of the State of Wisconsin has issued his opinion
that the annexation is not contrary to the public interest ; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Oshkosh has
recommended that the said property be temporarily zoned as follows:
R-1 Single Family Residence, R-2 Two Family Residence, C-1 Neigtibortiood
Business , M-2 Industrial & M-3 Heavy Industrial (as per the attached
"Exhibit B")
NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do
ordain as follows :

SECTION 1 . The following described territory, pursuant to a duly
circulated and filed annexation petition for direct annexation is
hereby annexed to and made part of the City of Oshkosh, a municipal
corporation located in Winnebago County, more specifically in the
15th Ward of said City and is annexed for school purposes also
and is hereby made a part of the City school district , and
subject to all the laws governing the same , all in accordance
with Section 66 . 021 of the Wisconsin Statutes and the amendments
thereto :
A part of the SE 1/9 of the Sw 1/4, and SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of
Section 36, T19N, R16E, NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 and the E 1/2 of
Section 1, T18N, R16E, N. 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 12, T18N,
Range 16 E, Fractional Lot One (1) of Section 7, T18N, R17E, and
Fractional Lot Four (4) of Section 6, T18N, R17E, all .in the Town
of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Nicolet
Avenue and the centerline of Shorewood Drive to the south,
thence northerly along the westerly line of Shorewood Drive
which is also the centerline of Shorewood Drive to the south
to a point which is 619 feet southwesterly of the
intersection of the westerly line of Shorewood Drive with
the north line of said Sec. 7-18-17 as measured along the
westerly line of Shorewood Drive. thence west parallel to
the north line of said Sec. 7, 150 feet, thence northerly
parallel to Shorewood Drive 125 feet, thence east parallel
to the north line of said Sec. 7, 150 feet to the westerly
line of Shorewood Drive, thence nortt�erly along the westerly
line of Shorewood Drive 87.5 feet, thence west parallel to
the north line of said Sec. 7, 150 feet, thence northerly
parallel to Shorewood Drive 85 feet, thence west parallel to
the north line of said Sec. 7, 25 feet, thence northerly
parallel to Shorewood Drive 200 feet, thence west parallel
to the north line of said Sec. 7 to the west line of said
Sec. 7, thence north along the west line of said Sec. 7 and
the west line of said Section 6-18-17 to the shoreline of
Lake Winnebago adjacent to Lot 120 of the Replat of Oakwood
Beach Plat, thence northerly and easterly along the
shoreline of Lake iVinnebago, also being the westerly lines
of Lots 94 - 120 of the Replat of Oakwood Beach Plat to the
north line of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said Sec. 6, (also
the north line of Fractional Lot 4) thence west along the
north line of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said Sec. 6, (also
the north line of Fractional Lot 4) to the st�oreline of Lake
Winnebago, thence northerly and westerly along the westerly
shoreline of Lake Winnebago to the west line of said Sec. 6
also being on the east line of Cozy Lane in the Bay View
Park Plat, thence north along the west line of said Sec. 6

Said parcel contains approximately 376.4 acces.
SECTION 2 . Section 1-28 , 1-29 , 10-1 and 10-3 of the Oshkosh
Municipal Code pertaining to Boundaries , Wards , Polls , Benchmarks are
hereby amended so as to reflect the provisions of this Ordinance and
the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to make
such changes.

SECTION 3 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage .
SECTION 4 . The proper City officials are hereby authorized and
directed to comply with the following requirements of Section
66 . 021 ( 8 ) of the Wisconsin Statutes and the City Clerk shall give
written notice to the appropriate Town Clerk of the acceptance of the
annexation petition and the adoption of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5 . That said property hereinabove described is hereby
temporarily zoned as follows :
R-1 Single Family Residence, R-2 Two Family Residence, C-1 Neighborhood
Business , M-2 Industrial & M-3 Heavy Industrial (as per the attached
"Exhibit B")
