HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-443 - � December 6, 1990 #90-443 RESOLUTION (CARRIED LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE 1990 TAX LEVY INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Oshkosh has heretofore prepared, recommended and submitted to the Common Council a budget for the City of Oshkosh and all of its departments for the year 1991 in accordance with the statutes and ordinances in such case made and provided, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at 7:00 P.M., November 15, 1990, pursuant to a duly published notice of said hearing, a summary of such budget having been duly published in the official City newspaper at least fifteen (15) days prior to the time of such hearing, and WHEREAS, the Common Council convened at a special meeting duly noticed and called for the purpose of considering said budget and adopting same and fixing and adopting a tax rate based thereon and at said special meeting adopted a resolution providing and adopting said budget for the year 1991, after making such changes therein as were approved by the proper number of votes, and thereupon directed the proper City officials to prepare this resolution, and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh having adopted said budget for the City of Oshkosh for the year 1991, now desire to levy the necessary taxes and provide the moneys required by said budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that there be and there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property, real and personal, in the City of Oshkosh, as shown by the assessment rolls of said City of Oshkosh for the year 1990, the following tax, to wit: State Tax 266,910 County Tax and all County Specials 6,153,140 City of Oshkosh: Operation 3,310,829 Debt Service 6,792,539 10,103,368 Vocational Area School District 2,220,720 Oshkosh Area Schools 21,058,835 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Oshkosh is hereby directed to prepare a tax roll for the City of Oshkosh for the year 1991 according to law, and the City Manager and the City Clerk are directed to sign a warrant for the collection of the said tax and affix thereto rpora e sea o e �ty f Oshkosh.
