($32,520.00) INITIATED BY: PURCHASING DIVISION WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has heretofore advertised for bids for a double drum vibratory roller for the Streets Division; and WHEREAS, upon the opening and tabulation of bids, it appears that the following is the most advantageous bid: MILLER-BRADFORD & RISBERG, INC. 3203 French Road DePere, WI 54115 Total Bid w/trade: $32,520.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the said bid is hereby accepted and the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an appropriate agreement for the purpose of same, all according to plans, specifications, and bid on file. Urben, General Services Manager DATE: March 2, 2015 RE: Bid Award-Double Drum Vibratory Roller for Street Division BACKGROUND The Common Council allocated $35,000 in the 2015 CIP Major Equipment Budget for a new double drub vibratory roller for the Street Division. A new unit will replace the 1993 Bomag unit that requires repairs to various steering, vibration and water system components that exceeds its value. ANALYSIS Working in conjunction with Street Division staff, Purchasing prepared specifications for this unit. Bids were sent to known vendors. Bids were due on February 16, 2015. The bid tab is attached. City staff reviewed the low bid received from Miller-Bradford & Risberg, Inc. for a Bomag BW 135AD-5 and concluded it met the minimum bid specifications. FISCAL IMPACT The total fiscal impact of the unit with trade is $32,520. This item was budgeted in the 2015 CIP Major Equipment Budget at $35,000. Funding for this item would be charged to A/N#: 323- 0430-7204-06539. RECOMMENDATION Purchasing recommends the Common Council award this bid to Miller-Bradfard & Risberg, Inc. for$32,520.
