Oshkosh Board of Police and Fire Commission
REGULAR MEETING
February 4, 2014
The meeting of the Police and Fire Commission was held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
in the Council Chambers, Room 406, at City Hall.
The meeting was called to order at 3:02 P.M.
Present: Commissioners Jones, Seibold, Schorse
Absent: Commissioners Vajgrt, Lewis
Commissioner
Schorse asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes of the October 1, 2013 meeting. There being none, Commissioner Seibold made the motion, seconded by Commissioner
Jones to approve the minutes as presented. Motion Carried 3 – 0.
Under New Business:
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold to approve the Fire Department
List of Eligibility. Motion Carried 3 – 0.
Introduction to Draft Hearing Procedures Policy was distributed.
Presentation of Police Department awards:
Receiving the Citizen Service
Award for his life saving actions taken when he witnessed a motorcycle accident - Robert Knoll
Receiving the Distinguished Service Medal for their response and actions taken during
a disturbance involving gun shots – Officer Brenden Bonnett, Officer Ben Fenhouse, Officer Nick Kawleski, and Sergeant Brandon Ansell
Receiving the Department Commendation Medal for
their life saving efforts and leadership during an incident where an individual was rescued from a suicide attempt – Officer Mike Kirby, Specialist Jim Scovronski, and Sergeant Andy
Lecker
Receiving the Department Commendation Medal for his leadership in the drug investigation that resulted in the arrest of Ubaldo Adame and Fernando Sandoval – Officer Mike Wissink
Receiving
a Letter of Commendation for their work on the drug investigation that resulted in the arrest of Ubaldo Adame and Fernando Sandoval – Officer Joe Framke, Officer Josh Turner, Detective
Dean Artus, Detective Paul Frey, Detective Chee Vang, Sergeant Mark Schafhauser, Lieutenant Jim Busha, and Crime Analyst Mandy Krueger
Receiving a Letter of Commendation for his work related to the MOCIC prostitution grant – Detective Paul Frey
Receiving a Letter of Commendation for his dedication and efforts which
helped create the “Parks Eviction Ordinance” – Officer Craig Johannes
There being no other business, Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold to adjourn.
Motion Carried 3 – 0.
Meeting adjourned at 3:29 p.m.
