This memo requests an amendment to the above referenced agreement. The amendment is necessary to cover
the costs of the additional/out of scope work conducted on the project under the City's direction. The items
described below are also described in more detail on a table at the end of this memo.
Below is a description of each out of scope item along with an amendment request budget.
Design of 9th and Washburn Area Detention Basin Permits(City Scope Task 12,AECOM Budget Task 10)
1. Additional modeling to evaluate impact of modified detention basin and local storm sewer extension to
expand the benefits of the available detention pond capacity and provide reduced flood stage, extent
and duration to assist in alternatives analysis.
2. Additional phone calls (including January 16th and April 8th 2014 teleconferences)and meetings with
City and Attorney during development of alternatives analysis and preparation for and following the third
Agency meeting.
3. Additional Agency(WDNR/USACOE) meeting (January 23,2014) regarding wetlands impacts
discussion and alternatives analysis.
4. Expanded alternatives analysis document based on updated modeling effort, expanded concepts and
material recommended by Attorney, and other updates to state a stronger case for the recommended
alternative.
5. Additional permitting support including responding to agency comments and assistance with obtaining
needed permit approvals.

1. Proposed structural design of three additional box manholes due to alternatives analysis modeling
proposing the use of 4'x8' box pipe.
2. Proposed structural design of apron and wing walls for 5'x8'discharge pipe

Design of Armory Detention Basin(City Scope Task 13,AECOM Budget Task 7)
1. Effort associated with modifying plans to design and incorporate new stockpile locations for spoil
material from the Armory excavation.
2. Effort associated with modification of specifications to adjust availability of disposal locations
3. Additional structural design efforts to detail out 3 box manhole structures as directed by City staff at
November,2013 update meeting
