RE: Engineering Services Agreement for Design and Construction - Related Services for Zebra
Mussel Control System for the Intake Structure at the Water Filtration Plant 1 CH2M HILL
Engineers, Inc. ($63,180)
The Department of Public Works Utility Division requested a proposal from CH2M HILL_ for design,
bidding, and construction management services for upgrades to the Zebra Mussel Control System for the
intake structure at the Water Filtration plant. The cost for this project is included in the 2014 Capital
Improvement Program.
CH2M HILL Engineers, Inc. was chosen because of their knowledge and experience with the Water
Filtration Plant processes and controls through their participation on a number of Water Filtration Plant
projects. The cost of these services is estimated not to exceed $63,180 and will be funded through the
Water Utility.
Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a
specialized nature, including engineering services, may be approved by the City Manager without the use
of formal sealed quotes. In accordance with 12 -16 of the Code, I am hereby submitting this report
regarding this engineering services agreement. These services will be funded through the Water Utility.
