RE: Purchase Pursuant to State of Wisconsin Cooperative Purchase for Pick -up
Truck- Parks Department ($27,275.68)
BACKGROUND
In the 2014 CIP Major Equipment budget the Common Council allocated $40,000 for the
purchase of a pickup truck to replace a 2000 GMC Sonoma pickup truck for the Parks
Deparment. The current vehicle has experienced ongoing maintenance issues that takes the
vehicle out of service and reduces the efficiency of Park operations. The cost of repairs necessary
to make the current vehicle fully functional exceeds the value of the unit. City staff has
determined a Ford 150 4X4 pickup track will meet the operational needs of this unit.
ANALYSIS
Purchasing has determined that Badger Truck Center Inc. holds the State of Wisconsin
Department of Administration contract ( #15- 07006 -301) for Light Duty Trucks. The state
contract price for this vehicle as specified is $27,275.68. The CNG option is not yet available for
this vehicle.
FISCAL Il"ACT
The fiscal impact of this vehicle is $27,275.68. The 2014 CIP Major Equipment budget allocated
$40,000 for this vehicle. Funding would be charged to A/N #: 323 - 0610 - 7210 - 06427.

Maurer.
