HomeMy WebLinkAboutBID Manager's ReportBID Manager Report April 2014 Priorities for the Month: Continue to distribute 2014 directory Update hours for individual businesses on the website Continue to promote the 2014 retention grant application Follow up calls to downtown recruitment packets Update website pages with new pictures Update individual website pages Put together April’s monthly gift card promotion and featured business participant Develop and send the monthly newsletter Follow up meetings/calls to downtown businesses in regards to the gift card program Send out email of advertising opportunities & road closures to mass email list Put all advertising medias in place for the month; send out past due invoice notices Committee Reports: Marketing Consortium Sent out prior minutes and agenda Put together the monthly minutes Help promote Destination Downtown via social media and website Collect 2014 membership donations Attended the monthly meeting Attended a Chalk Walk meeting Beautification Holding our monthly meeting the last Friday in April In the process of working on signage for Opera House Square; ordering kiosk 4/16 Temporary trash receptacles have been placed on Main St. Coordinate Spring planting and watering with individual parties; will begin the week before Memorial Day weekend Boughs to be removed after pub crawl Retention Receipt submitted for Dave Sparr’s approved retention grant Grant information included in the monthly newsletter & mass email Recruitment Met with 1 potential RFG client; Hot Dog Charlie Visited Downtown Hartford Put together additional packets Updated building space availability on the website Other Highlights Watched a webinar on historic tax credits Attended the Special Permit meeting for upcoming events Provided materials for the State of the City Provided a BID update at the Chamber Economic Development Advisory Council meeting Other Projects Focus on recruitment for spring 2014; research other downtowns Work on information/layout for the park kiosk
