Rohloff, City Manager, --/_ RE: Engineering Services Agreement for Bidding and Construction Management for Various Water Filtration Plant Projects 1 AECOM ($56,000) The Department of Public Works Utility Division requested a proposal from AECOM for bidding and construction management services for various Water Filtration plant maintenance and repair projects. These projects include sedimentation basin concrete maintenance, sludge discharge line repairs, and repairs to piping for the 1984 pumping station. The cost for these projects was included in the 2013 Capital Improvement Program. AECOM was chosen because they provided the inspection, analysis, and repair recommendations for the sedimentation basin concrete in their May 2012 report for the Water Utility. Combining this work with the sludge discharge line and piping repairs will provide cost savings in bidding and contract administration. These costs are estimated not to exceed $56,000 and will be funded through the Water Utility. Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a specialized nature, including engineering services, may be approved by the City Manager without the use of formal sealed quotes. In accordance with 12 -16 of the Code, I am hereby submitting this report regarding this engineering services agreement. These services will be funded through the Water Utility. Please advise me if you have any questions concerning this engineering services agreement.
