(Miron) for the Public Works Field Operations Facility BACKGROUND In July of 2013, the Common Council awarded a bid to Miron for construction of the new Public Works Field Operations Facility. In addition, Change Order No. 1 was approved in November of 2013 to allow the City to purchase the building materials for this project as a way to eliminate the expense for the State of Wisconsin sales flax. At that time, no credit was given to the City for the elimination of this expense. ANALYSIS Change Order No. 2 is required to process various changes that were required as part of the first phase of this project. These changes were required for the following reasons: 1. To address future needs or as upgrades to current specifications 2. To address items deleted from contract 3. For changes in specifications 4. Credit for sales tax and the charge for insurance expenses 5. Provide electric for future salt storage building as part of the fuel island construction FISCAL IMPACT There is no change to the total contract value with the approval of this change order. The attached page shows the expenses ($79,901.10) being totally offset by credits from sales tax savings and by credits from the deletion of other items. The attachment also shows a credit balance of $43,056.39 remaining for this project. RECOMMENDATIONS I recommend approval of the proposed change order with Miron. Approved, Mark A.
