PURPOSE: ACCEPT DEDICATION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR
OREGON STREET, ADJACENT TO 2728 OREGON STREET
INITIATED BY: CHAMCO INC.
PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Approved
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the City
hereby accepts right-of-way on the east side of Oregon Street adjacent to 2728 Oregon
Street, per the attached.

BACKGROUND
The subject dedication is a 1,049 square foot parcel indicated on Certified Survey Map #6807
prepared for and recorded by Chamco, Inc. in January of 2014. The property upon which
the area of dedication is originating from is now owned by H & M Commercial, LLC and is
housed by Advanced Military Packaging. The area surrounding the dedication consists of a
mix of uses including single-family residential to the north and south, and light industrial uses
to the east and west.
ANALYSIS
City Administration is requesting a right-of-way dedication of a seven-foot by 149.27-foot,
1049 square foot parcel located on the east side of Oregon Street adjacent to 2728 Oregon
Street. The purpose of the additional right-of-way dedication is to eventually achieve an 80
foot street width which is required by the Subdivision Regulations for minor arterials such as
Oregon Street. The Comprehensive Plan also classifies Oregon Street as a minor arterial
and the proposed dedication is consistent with both the requirements of the Subdivision
Regulations as well as the Comprehensive Plan's recommendation.
FISCAL IMPACT
None anticipated.
RECOMMENDATI.ON
The Plan Commission approved of this request at its March 4, 2014 meeting. �

GENERAL INFORMATION

City Administration is requesting a right-of-way dedication of a seven-foot by 149.27-foot, 1,049
square foot parcel located on the east side of Oregon Street adjacent to 2728 Oregon Street.
Applicable Ordinance Provisions:

Property Location and Type:
The subject dedication is a 1,049 square foot parcel indicated on Certified Survey Map#6307
prepared for and recorded by Chamco, Inc. in January of 2014. The property upon which the area
of dedication is originating from is now owned by H & M Commercial, LLC and is housed by
Advanced Military Packaging. The area surrounding the dedication consists of a mix of uses

west.
ANALYSIS
The city is requesting the additional right-of-way dedication in order to eventually achieve an 80

minor arterial and subsequently recommends an 80-foot right-of way per the Subdivision

Staff feels the proposed right-of-way dedication is consistent with requirements of the Subdivision
Regulations as well as recommendations identified in the Comprehensive Plan,
RECOMMENDATION/CONDITIONS
Staff recommends approval of the additional right-of-way dedication of Oregon Street as
requested.
The Plan Commission approved of the proposed right-of-way dedication of Oregon Street as
requested, The following is the Plan Commission's discussion on this item.
Mr. Nau presented the item and reviewed the site and surrounding area and the certified survey
map that was submitted and initiated the dedication request. The purpose of the right-of-way
dedication was to eventually achieve an 80 foot right-of-way on Oregon Street which is considered
a minor arterial. The Comprehensive Plan classifies Oregon Street as a minor arterial and
subsequently recommends an 80-foot right-of-way per the Subdivision Regulations,
There was no discussion on this item.
Motion by Borsuk to approve the right-of-rvay dedication on property located at 2728
Oregon Street.
Seconded by Hinz. Allotion carried 6-0.
