We have reviewed your revised cost breakdown for Change
Estimate No. 4 and have come to the following conclusions.
Breakdown - Page 1
1. You omitted 38 sq. ft. of brick work above
the window and added 38 L.F. of stone cap.
There is no additional stone cap as such.
There is some 14 or less feet of stone
(over the entrance and where the stone
covers corbelled brick at each end pier. )
Somehow the credit for omitting the 38 sq.ft.
of brick doesn't show up but your cost out
$48 . 00 material and $480. 00 labor.
We would recommend the $480. 00 labor if
you credited $654 . 00 for the omission of
the brick
Proposed Credit $ 174 . 00
2 . Your charge out $100. 00 material and
$300. 00 labor for removing 3 pipe columns
and 16 L.F. of steel beams. Removal of
one pipe column was included in your
original proposal and the installation
of WF 12x26 which is now omitted.
We could recommend an even exchange
between omitted work and newly required
steel work

studs. We could recommend $80. 00 for
materials and $135. 00 for labor

- Insulation: We are not aware that
insulation work changed

- Parapet Blocking : This work did not change

- Omit original 3/4" plywood soffit

- Finish Labor: Install 160 S.F. of pine
boards on walls and soffits. Install
larger windows and related trim, we
think $720. 00 is adequate. That is
about $3. 00/S.F.

- Supervision: We maintain that no extra
supervision is involved to provide the
revised building face in lieu of the
original design
Proposed Credit $ 944 . 00
4 . Subcontract Work
- Pine Boards: We think there is only about
160 sq.ft. of pine boards. At $. 50/sq. ft. ,
that is $80. 00 instead of your $1, 009
(subcontractor price)
