HomeMy WebLinkAboutBID Manager's ReportBID Manager Report September 2013 Priorities for the Month: Put the RFP form on the downtown website Finalize the potential retention grant application for the budget committee Schedule budget committee meeting Send final recruitment brochure & folder to print Hire one or two interns for the fall semester Organize a block captain meeting Put together September’s monthly gift card promotio n and featured business participant Develop and send the monthly newsletter Prepare budget numbers for the 2014 year Purchase daily parking permits Send out email of road closures and advertising opp ortunities to mass email list Continue to distribute 2013 directories Committee Reports: Marketing Consortium Sent out prior minutes and agenda Started to organize the Downtown Trick or Treat eve nt Attended holiday committee meeting Met with Erica (new holiday chair) to discuss holid ay ideas and promotions, including assistance with direct mailers and scratch off tick ets Beautification Reviewed billing for our contracted services contra ctor Held a meeting with the City Manager & other city o fficials to discuss way finding signs and trash receptacles Held a follow up meeting with the Parks Dept. CVB, and ACS in regards to Riverwalk and Downtown signage Scheduled a walk through with Public Works in regar ds to dividing up the trash receptacles Held meetings with our current contractors to discu ss the 2014 year Recruitment Connected with one potential RFG client Made final changes to the RFG checklist for future applicants Updated open commercial spaces on our website
Other Highlights Met with several advertising representatives to ass ist with putting together the 2014 advertising plan Met with Blue Door to discuss additional website & social media ideas for 2014 Attended Special Permit meeting Other Projects that continue to be in the works Continuing to work with Cornerstone and downtown bu siness owners for the gift card program Target specific businesses for recruitment that fit the wish list Continuing to revamp different sections of the down town website Start to work on the 2014 Downtown directory
