the Oshkosh Public Museum. Board President Gary Haffeman called the meeting to
order at 3:00 PM.
Attendees included Museum Board and Staff.

Mr. Brad Larson shared the results of the Museum Assessment Program and
discussion followed.
Some details of the discussion included the following: In years past many students
visited the museum. That has tapered off. It would be great to have students enjoying
the museum again. Fourth grade is when Wisconsin history is taught. Oshkosh history
is taught in second grade. It would be helpful if there was a Museum liaison for the
teachers to work with. It would be good to have specific lessons available, relevant for
the classes. Teachers need to be aware of the museum. Perhaps we could invite
teachers to come and enjoy the Museum. Visibility of the building is a noted concern as
it is hidden behind many large trees. Making the exterior more appealing, to grab
attention and make people wonder what is inside would be a good thing.
The meeting adjourned at 3:50 PM
