RE: Amendment to Engineering Services Agreement
Campbell Creek Detention Basins Storm Water Modeling and Design
AECOM / $95,423
BACKGROUND
A professional services agreement for storm water modeling and design services with AECOM was
reported to the Common Council on October 26, 2010. During the course of performing those services, it
was determined that additional services were necessary in order to complete the modeling and design.
ANALYSIS
The additional services provided by AECOM include additional survey and engineering /design tasks for
the Armory Detention Basin and the 91h and Washburn Detention Basin. These services were necessary
due to additional permitting requirements from the Department of Natural Resources and the United
States Army Corps of Engineers.
FISCAL IMPACT
Staff has reviewed the amendment and costs. The amount of this contract amendment is $95,423. This
will raise the total contract amount to $476,743 (not to exceed). These services will be funded through
the Storm Water Utility.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a
specialized nature, including engineering services, may be procured without the use of formal, sealed
quotes. I have reviewed this amendment and in accordance with Section 12 -16 of the Code, I am hereby
recommending that the Common Council approve the award of this engineering services amendment.
