Priorities for the Month:
Continue to distribute 2013 directories
Continue to update/ make changes to downtown website
Put together promotional piece for Gus Macker welcome bags
Send out email of road closures and advertising opportunities to mass email list
Put together June’s monthly gift card promotion and featured business participant
Develop and send the monthly newsletter
Work with Blue Door on new recruitment piece
Put together quarterly article for the Scene newspaper
Committee Reports:
Marketing Consortium
Sent out prior minutes and agenda
Beautification
Reviewed billing for our contracted services contractor
Put together beautification agenda for monthly meeting
Held our monthly beautification meeting
Met with Public Works Dept. downtown in regards to bike rack placements on 2 different
occasions
Met with Forestry Dept. to move 3 pots to new locations
Met with contractor for monthly update on landscaping priorities
Recruitment
Put together minutes for 2 RFG meetings
Put together letters of agreement and personal guarantees for 2 approved RFG’s
Held 1 RFG meeting
Met with 2 other potential RFG applicants
Other Highlights
Attended Gus Macker & the first summer Saturday Farmers Market
Attended Business After Hours at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel
Attended Special Permit meeting
Gave downtown update to the Chamber of Commerce Advisory Council
Attended a public meeting with the City planning dept. & UW Extension at the
Convention Center in regards to the business needs survey
Other Projects that continue to be in the works
Continuing to work with Cornerstone and downtown business owners to get more
Just recently added are Caramel Crisp & Ground

Put together RFG checklist
Target specific businesses for recruitment that fit the wish list
Put together a new Request for Proposal document together for the 2014 year (will be
completed by July)
Put together a retention grant information for 2014 (will bring to BID Board in July)
