Description Treads and Risers. Risers may not exceed 8 inches in height and treads shall be a minimum of 9 inches wide measured
horizontally from nosing to nosing,with any variation in uniformity in each tread or riser not varying by more that 3/16 inch.

Description Safety glazing is required at stairs and landings as follows:Within 4 feet vertically of a tread or landing in a stairway and within
one foot horizontally of the near edge of the tread or landing and;within 4 feet vertically of the floor and 3 feet horizontally of
the nosing of the top or bottom tread of a stair
