MEMORANDUM
TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Common Council
FROM: Mark A. Rohloff, City Manager/
DATE: January 17, 2013
RE: Agreement for Reconstruction of Electric Facilities at 215 Church Avenue/
Wisconsin Public Services ($27,341.29)
In order to facilitate the construction of the City Hall Underground Detention Basin, the overhead utilities
along Church Avenue need to be temporarily relocated. We have received an agreement from Wisconsin
Public Services to provide services related to this temporary relocation at a cost of $27,341.29.
Additional agreements with other utility companies will be required. Total cost is anticipated to be
approximately$43,725.
The temporary relocation of the overhead utilities along Church Avenue will provide increased access by
the contractor working on the construction of the underground storm water detention structure within the
City Hall parking lot. This increase in accessibility will result in reduced construction cost for the detention
system.
Funds for these services are available in the Storm Sewer section of the CIP.
Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a
specialized nature may be approved by the City Manager without the use of formal, sealed quotes. In
accordance with Section 12-16 of the Code, I am hereby submitting this report regarding this agreement.
Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this agreement.
