While, still in my teens, I came to Oshkosh in 2000 when I was only 19. During these years, I served at various student organizations with different roles and responsibilities. Since my graduation, I have been working as a Consultant & a Project Manager at a locally owned consulting firm. Over past several years, I have also been part of many local initiatives and have organized various events. These includes organizing the Humanity First Walkathon to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina in 2007. I also served as a Youth Director for the Local Ahmadiyya Muslim Community where during the acquisition of our new Mosque, I helped organized many open public forums, meetings and discussions. I have organized or helped organized various Inter-faith events among various religious organizations in Oshkosh. I have personal relationship with many pastors, community leaders and have presented the introduction to Islam lectures at few Churches. I have also helped organized and worked with other organizations such as Father Karr, Local Soup Kitchens & Salvation Army to volunteer and assist in various programs for the poor&needy. Moreover, I have organized many Blood Drives in the past in the Oshkosh Area and have a very good personal working relationship with Community Blood Center. I was the coordinator of our Muslims for Life Campaign here in Oshkosh to commemorate the victims of 9-11. This nationwide campaign was widely televised in both Local and National print& electronic media. With my ethnic, religious and strong roots here in Oshkosh, I believe that I can help the community in virtually all fashions of life.
