I was digging through the property file for the above to confirm a variance had not previously been granted back in the mid 80's during its original development. I was able to discover a set of variances was approved in 1984 for parking and signs in the setback per the attached. Unfortunately, the scale is slightly off and no other details like the sign height, dimensions, etc. were provided and are not in the property file. If you can confirm the sign cabinet and/or base you're proposing will not be any closer to the right-of-way than the previous sign location highlighted in green that was knocked over in the wind, we have enough documentation to permit the sign (presuming it meets the other district standards)within the minimum setback based on the 1984 variance and we'd be able to refund the $125.00 variance application material. If the sign you're proposing is larger and closer to the setback we'd have to proceed with a new variance request. Let me know if you can confirm the setback and cabinet dimensions (new vs old).
