HomeMy WebLinkAbout41. 12-152 MARCH 27, 2012 12-152 ORDINANCE FIRST READING (CARRIED___6-0_____ LOST________ LAID OVER________ WITHDRAWN_______) PURPOSE: AUTHORIZING PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION / SECOND ADDITION TO CASEY’S MEADOW SOUTH (STAFF RECOMMENDS WAIVING THE RULES) INITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AUTHORIZING PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION TO BE DONE BY THE CITY OF OSHKOSH WITHOUT SUBMITTING SAME FOR BIDS The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the sidewalk and concrete paving for the following named streets, pursuant to resolution adopted March 27, 2012, by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh is hereby authorized to be done directly by the appropriate departments of the City of Oshkosh, without submitting same for bids, according to the plans on file in the office of the City Engineer: Mockingbird Way – from existing west end to approx. 300’ west Cloe Jude Drive – from Mockingbird Way to approx. 400’ south Casey Trail – from existing south end to approx. 400’ south SECTION 2. The City Manager shall keep an accurate account of the costs of said work including the necessary overhead expenses and upon completion of such work shall make a complete report thereof to the Common Council stating in detail the items of cost and the total cost of doing such work, all according to Section 62.15(14) of the Wisconsin Statutes; and upon completion of such work, the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to transfer necessary funds from the Special Assessments Improvement Fund to the appropriate construction accounts. SECTION 3. Publication Notice. Please take notice that the City of Oshkosh enacted ordinance #12-152 Authorize Public Construction / Second Addition to Casey’s Meadow South / Mockingbird Way, Cloe Jude Drive, and Casey Trail. The ordinance authorizes public construction of streets and utilities to be done by the City of Oshkosh without submitting the same for bids.
