Agreement for Environmental Eng Srvs/AECOM CITY HALL 215 Church Avenue P.O.Box 1130 Oshkosh54g03-1130 City of Oshkosh OIHKQIH MEMORANDUM DATE: March 8, 2012 TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Common Council FROM: Mark A. Rohloff, City Manager ` RE: Agreement for Environmental Engineering Services for the 2012 Capital Improvement Program (CIP)/AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) The Department of Public Works requested a proposal from AECOM for environmental management services during utility re-construction of the various streets in the 2012 CIP. Based upon historical information regarding properties along these streets and from laboratory results of soil samples collected from this year's soil boring program, there is a potential for petroleum-impacted soils to be present within the construction limits. AECOM was chosen because of their knowledge of the City and vast experience with this type of work for our previous programs. The work associated with this agreement is anticipated to be complete by the fall of 2012. The cost of these services is estimated not to exceed $60,000.00, and will be charged to the Storm Water, Water, or Sanitary Sewer Utilities or the Street Paving CIP depending on the location of the contamination. Funding is available in all four accounts. Section 12-10(D)(5) of the Municipal Code provides that professional services of a specialized nature, including engineering services, may be approved by the City Manager without the use of formal, sealed quotes. In accordance with 12-10(E) of the Code, I am hereby submitting this report regarding this contract award. Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this contract award.
