HomeMy WebLinkAbout20. 12-56 FEBRUARY 14, 2012 12-56 RESOLUTION (CARRIED___7-0___ LOST_______ LAID OVER_______ WITHDRAWN_______) PURPOSE: APPROVE POLLING PLACES INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the City of Oshkosh to adopt a municipal ward plan following the completion of the decennial federal census of population: and, WHEREAS, state elections law allows that wards may be combined for the purpose of voting; and, WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the City of Oshkosh to provide polling places for the voters of the City of Oshkosh. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the attached polling places are hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the polling places be number as City Voting Districts 1 through 16, in accordance with the County Supervisor Districts and wards be combined accordingly.
