HomeMy WebLinkAboutBID Manager's Report Oshkosh Area Economic Development Corporation Downtown Oshkosh Business Improvement District REPORT January 2012 Accomplishments  BID Marketing Consortium Prepared for the monthly meeting  Worked with Chair and Vice Chair of the Consortium for planning purposes  Sent out prior minutes and agenda to all marketing consortium members  Collected Contributions/Event Contributions  Coordinated billing functions with the city  Developed and distributed Newsletter through Constant Contact  Put together advertising options for Downtown Businesses at a discounted  price Presented the idea of a downtown gift card and discount card  Sent out 2012 membership fee invoice  Started Destination Downtown preparation  Organized quarterly block captains   Heart of Winter Celebration Organized the budget for this new event  Researched games/activities/costs  Secured sponsorships for the event  Put together billboard, bus advertisements, and online advertisements  Added the event to the Downtown website  Added the event to the CVB and school district site   Beautification Held monthly beautification meeting  Reviewed and approved billing for Ground Effects  Put out the Request for Proposal for a new landscaping contractor  Organized the take down of lights in Opera House Square  Organized switching of banners for January  Met with OACF to discuss the façade program and funds left in the  beautification account  RFG Worked with a current property owner on an expansion project   Other Met with Blue Door to finalize website discussion  Put out an internship opportunity on the Titan Job site  Met with several advertisers to finalize contracts for the 2012 year  Phone interview with B2B for the Downtown Heroes Issue  Put together the detailed advertising plan for 2012   Responded/made an estimated 35 informational calls, questions and concerns in regards to Downtown BID  Attended/Held an estimated 24 meetings  Managed day to day activities of the BID
