RE: AT&T Request for Variance of Noise Ordinance—Jackson and Murdock RAB, Oshkosh, WI
Mr. Rohloff:
AT&T is seeking a variance of the noise ordinance in order to perform maintenance work on the existing
telephone utilities located within the round-about(RAB) located at the intersection of Murdock Avenue
and Jackson Street (STH 76) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The proposed work will consist of accessing
existing manhole 1015 within the RAB to repair an air pressure leak and will require the use of 2- light
duty trucks with generator trailers as well as an associated partial interior lane closure with traffic control.
As such, the work area(including traffic control) may extend approx. 400' north, south, east and west of
the intersection.
It is our intent to perform this maintenance work during the non-exempt hours of 10:00PM to 6:00AM in
order to minimize impact to traffic and local businesses. The proposed work is scheduled for December
December 21, 2011 (with a fall back date of December 28) and will require 1 night to complete. No street
opening or repair will be required and all traffic control will be set up and removed within the same 10PM
to 6AM work window. A proposed traffic control plan will be submitted to DPW/Steve Gohde for approval
prior to start as well.
We appreciate your time and consideration in assisting us with this matter. Please contact me with any
questions at 920-929-1013.
Sincerely,
AT&T Wisconsin
