The Oshkosh Board of Health Meeting was called to order at 7:34 a.m. on Wednesday,

Motion
Chairperson Kline called for approval of the April 27, 2011 Meeting Minutes. :
SecondVote
Kniep; : Herman; : Unanimous.
All four health departments were represented at the last Baker Tilly meeting. Baker Tilly
has gone as far as they could with the amount of money that was budgeted for the
project. Menasha’s Mayor will be going to their Council to see if they should stay with the
process or bow out. Oshkosh is not to the point of taking a proposal to the Board or
Council. There is agreement on 21 points, including that the levy would be at 0.117
which is where Oshkosh is at, but there are 7 points that still need to be worked out. If
there is a consolidation the Weights & Measures program would stay with the City of
Oshkosh.
Moving ahead to community based programs, there was discussion on various ways to
get information dispersed, i.e. Meals on Wheels, Senior Center, Meal Sites, Oshkosh
Community Media Services (OCMS), etc.
Other Comments / Concerns:
There is interest in knowing the number of café permits and chicken permits
issued.
Good to see our Health Department inspecting the food stands at the Saturday
Farm Market.
We are focusing too much on consolidation; we need to get back to normal.
