HomeMy WebLinkAboutBID Manager's ReportOshkosh Area Economic Development Corporation Downtown Oshkosh Business Improvement District REPORT October 2011 Accomplishments BID Marketing Consortium ❖ Prepared for the monthly meeting ❖ Worked with Chair of Consortium for planning purposes ❖ Sent out prior minutes and agenda to all marketing consortium members ❖ Worked on Budget for 2012 ❖ Collected Contributions/Event Contributions ❖ Updated Downtown Website ❖ Developed and distributed Newsletter through Constant Contact ❖ Discussed advertising strategies for 2012 • Halloween Committee ❖ Held meetings with chair for planning purposes ❖ Worked on special events permit ❖ Worked on obtaining volunteers for the event ❖ Organized food and drink vendors ❖ Organized sponsorships Holiday Committee ❖ Attended meetings with committee to discuss planning for 2011 holiday ❖ Worked on special events permit ❖ Organized food and drink vendors ❖ Assisted in the arrangement of pre - parade activities ❖ Shared advertising ideas with the committee • Beautification ❖ Reviewed Ground Effects contract - updated ❖ Discussed bike racks ❖ Reviewed and approved billing for ground effects ❖ Discussed holiday decoration ideas for Opera House Square • RFG ❖ Met with two potential clients ❖ Scheduled RFG meeting for 1 new business opening in the 400 block • Other ❖ Assisted in branding efforts via facebook and email ❖ Scheduled a budget meeting to go over the RFP's for BID's 2012 budget ❖ Appeared on Oshkosh Today to promote the Halloween event ❖ Obtained a storage unit for the BID ❖ Acquired pricing for advertisement pertaining to the new logo for downtown ❖ Promoted upcoming events on the CVB website Responded /made an estimated 8 informational calls, questions and concerns in regards to Downtown BID • Attended/Held an estimated 19 meetings • Managed day to day activities of the BID
