HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-336JULY 26, 2011 11 -336 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 6 -0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVAL OF SPECIAL EVENT / OSHKOSH OPERA HOUSE FOUNDATION & CARMEL CRISP CAFE / UTILIZE OPERA HOUSE SQUARE FOR THE GRAND SCOOP / AUGUST 20, 2011 (ORIGINAL REQUEST WAS FOR JULY 3, 2011 RESOLUTION 11 -237) INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that approval is granted to Oshkosh Opera House Foundation and Carmel Crisp Cafe (David Lange) to utilize Opera House Square on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for their The Grand Scoop event in accordance with the municipal code and the attached application, with the following exceptions /conditions: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer shall pay the City's actual costs for extraordinary services. Let this letter serve as an amendment to hat application. the Oshkosh Opera House Foundation has decided to move the date of its event )ack a few weeks to Saturday, August 20, 2011. The time frame of the event will ;tay the same with Set up starting about 6:30am, event from 10a -2p followed by Lear down and clean up. We have added, however, a few things to the event. Specifically we are going to have live music in the park and we will also be selling brats. We have already received the paperwork from the Health Department and will be returning that soon.
