Item # 1 Code MUN 16- 33A(6) Compliance No Compliance Date 10/16/2009 IMMEDIATELY Description Stairways in one and two family dwellings shall be in sound condition, equipped with proper handrails & guardrails installed in accordance with COMM 21.04 , safe to use and shall be equipped with treads and risers reasonably uniform. 10/09/2009 Handrails shall be installed for interior stairways (including stairs to basement). Last Updated Item # 2 Code MUN 16- 33A(7) Compliance No Compliance Date 10/16/2009 IMMEDIATELY Description All dwelling units, vacant or occupied, shall be provided with working, approved smoke detectors one each in the basement first and second floors. Common area smoke detectors (basements) are the sole responsibility of the property owner. The owner shall replace batteries once 10/09/2009 per year or at the beginning of new tenancies. Written responsibilities shall be given to the occupants concerning smoke detectors. Fixture in hallway does not work and is not properly fastened to the ceiling. Outlets that are inoperable shall be repaired. Item # 7 Code MUN 16- 35A(3) Compliance No Compliance Date 11/08/2009 Description Cracked /damaged /leaking fixtures or other plumbing conditions, which create un- sanitary conditions or unusable fixtures, shall be replaced /repaired by a licensed plumber with permit. 10/09/2009 Plumbing for upper unit shall be checked for leaks. Water damage to lower unit living room ceiling. Last Updated Summary It is the responsibility of every property owner to confirm compliance with these orders before the compliance date as specified. Please contact me on or before the scheduled due dates to arrange for the required reinspections. Failure to comply with the required repairs by the compliance dates will result in citations being issued for noncompliance. Violations must be corrected and approved within 30 days unless otherwise noted. Call for reinspections prior to concealment and /or occupancy. Upon completing the corrections, the owner /contractor /agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 11/7/2009 Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30 -8:30 a.m. and 12:30 -1:30 p.m. or by appointment.
