Introduction
As the result of a complaint, it has come to the City's attention that the hedge along the sidewalk on the subject property has
grown to a height exceeding the permitted height. The hedge has created a vision hazard for pedestrians and vehicles on the
street and sidewalk of Moreland Street and Crystal Springs Avenue. Hedges located within the intersection sight distance
triangle and in the front yard are restricted in height. Enclosed with this notice is a fence /hedge flier.

Description Fences and hedges less than four (4) feet high may be located within the required front yard, except fences that are more than
fifty (50) percent solid shall not be permitted within fifteen (15) feet of a front lot line.

Summary In order to obtain compliance, the hedge must be trimmed and maintained to a height not to exceed 30" tall from the sidewalk
grade in the intersection triangle. Any other portion of the hedge shall not be any taller than 4' in the front yard area. Failure to
trim and maintain the hedge may result in the issuance of municipal citations for violations of the City zoning code. If you
have any questions in regard to this notice, please contact our office within the next 10 days.

Violations must be corrected and approved within 30 days unless otherwise noted. Call for reinspections prior to concealment
and /or occupancy. Upon completing the corrections, the owner /contractor /agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice
and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 6/18/2005
Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30 -8:30 a.m. and 12:30 -1:30 p.m. or by appointment. To schedule
inspections please call the Inspection Request line at 236 -5128 noting the address, permit number (when applicable), and the
nature of what needs to be i ected.
