RE: 1313 Monroe Street - Zoning Ordinance Violations -
Construction In a Setback
Dear Mr. Scanlan:
On April 12, 1994, a City Building Inspector inspected the above
referenced location and found that a concrete slab and fence had
been placed /constructed without the issuance of the appropriate
City permits. Pleased be advised that this is a
Violation /Correction Notice for the illegal
placement /construction of a concrete slab and fence in the rear
yard setback.
The fence in question is allowed, with the issuance of a building
permit. The concrete slab is not permitted, unless the slab has
a 21 ft. minimum rear yard setback, and is not allowed without
the issuance of a building permit.
If the slab is not immediately brought into compliance with the
required 2i ft. rear yard setback, and all applicable permits
applied for by you or your representative, and approved, this
issue will be turned over to the City Attorney's office for the
appropriate legal action. This may include the issuance of
citations, to gain compliance with the Zoning Ordinance.
If you have any questions in this regard, please feel free to
contact me at 236 - 5059.
Sincerely,
