HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter (sanitary sewer) - 06/24/1982 CITY • OF OSHKOSH June 4, 1982 Jack Schuenke 931 Monroe St. Oshkosh, WI 54901 Dear Mr. Schuenke: During the smoke testing of the city sanitary sewer mains in your area on June 10, 1982 as described in the handbill delivered to you address on June 8, 1982 , the following inadequacies in your plumbing system were the reasons smoke appeared in your basement: 1. Clean -out cover for building drain clean -out was not properly sealed. Sewer gases could enter your building through the same route taken by the smoke. Sewer gases can be very hazaradous. I recommend that you or your plumber repair the above as soon as possible. A Plumbing Permit and inspection are required by City Ordinance for any repairs to a buildings plumbing system. If a permit has not been taken out by June 24, 1982 I will reinspect your home to determine status for any further action on the part of the city. If you have any questions concerning this letter please call me at City Hall 424 -0377. My normal office hours are 8 -9 a.m. and 1 -2 p.m. Respectfully, 40 I/ L RI ARD WOOD Plumbing Inspector RW:mr P. O. BOX 1130 • OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN 54902
