The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defined in Chapter 101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements The attached approval to allow a single restroom for 60 occupants was approved by Tom Casper, Safety and Buildings Division of the State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce. Please note that this exception may not apply to any future tenant where the space is reconfigured such that the occupant load may be increased. Please note that the tenant build -out must coordinate with this landlord submittal in terms of occupant load, and if not, a second restrooms will be required. All paths of egress are required to have adequate emergency lighting to meet the performance requirements of IBC 1006.4. Existing means of egress emergency lighting is permitted to be maintained in compliance with the code in effect at the time of construction. Any altered path of egress, or new path of egress, and any new emergency lighting being installed is required to comply with current code requirements. • Comm 80 This plan review does not include plumbing. Egress which passes through intervening rooms in an M occupancy shall meet all the requirements outlined in Exception 2., the stock area is of the same hazard classification as that found in the main retail, not more than 50% of the exit access is through this space, the stock area is not subject to locking and there is a demarcated minimum 44" aisle defined. SUBMIT: • IMC 403.3.4 Balancing. Ventilation systems shall be balanced by an approved method. Such balancing shall verify that the ventilation system is capable of supplying the airflow rates required by Section 403. Balancing report required to be submitted prior to final occupancy being allowed. • Comm 61.40 (4) Supervision. Prior to the initial occupancy of a new building or addition and prior to the final occupancy of an alteration of an existing building the supervising professional shall file a compliance statement form SBD - 9720 with this office. Note: Submittal of a compliance statement will be considered as evidence that the supervising professional has properly addressed all items identified in this plan review letter. A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on -site during construction. If plan index sheets were submitted in lieu of additional full plan sets, a copy of this approval letter and index sheet shall be attached to plans that correspond with the copy on file with the copy on file in this office. All permits are required to be obtained prior to commencement of work. In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this review shall relieve the designer of the responsibility for designing a safe building, structure, or component. The City of Oshkosh does not take responsibility for the design or construction of the reviewed items.
