The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defined in Chapter 101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements. Key Item(s) / Conditions: • IBC 712.3 Any penetrations of fire rated assemblies are required to be protected with a listed fire stopping system that matches the rating of the wall assembly being penetrated. Copies of the fire stopping systems are required to be provided at the time of inspection. Note — priorplans on file indicate a fire wall exists in wall dividing East section of offices from break room. • IBC 1006.3 Means of egress illumination is required to be installed per this section. • IBC 1017.1 Construction. Corridors shall be fire- resistance rated in accordance with Table 1017.1. The corridor walls required to be fire- resistance rated shall comply with Section 708 for fire partitions. Per email from designer the total occupant load for this space will not exceed 30. If future use or modification results in an increased occupant load corridors will be required to be fire rated. • Comm 61.30(3) — This approval does not include heating, ventilating or air conditioning. The owner should be reminded that HVAC plans, calculations and appropriate fees are required to be submitted for review and approval prior to installation. The State of Wisconsin, Safety and Buildings division offers a number of worksheets and checklists for Commercial Building Code at httn: // commerce. wi. gov /SB /SB CommBldgPlanRevinfo.html that may assist you in preparing this submittal. Building Designer should coordinate with HVAC designer to avoid problems with clearance to combustibles, dampers etc. The submitted HVAC plans shall match the approved building plans. Building Designer is requested to provide complete set of Plans, Energy Calculations and Building Plan Review Letter to the HVAC Designer to help coordinate review. All proposed revisions and modifications which involve rules under this code and which are made to construction documents that have previously been granted approval by the department or its authorized representative, shall be submitted to the office that granted the approval. All revisions and modifications to plans shall be approved in writing by the department or its authorized representative prior to the work involved in the revision or modification being carried out. A revision or modification to a plan, drawing or specification shall be signed and sealed in accordance with Comm 61.31(1). SUBMIT: • IBC 1006.3 Means of egress illumination is required to be installed per this section. All paths of egress are required to have adequate emergency lighting to meet the performance requirements of IBC 1006.4. Provide complete emergency lighting plan showing compliance with these requirements prior to installation of emergency lighting system. • Comm 61.40 (4) Supervision. Prior to the initial occupancy of a new building or addition and prior to the final occupancy of an alteration of an existing building the supervising professional shall file a compliance statement form SBD -9720 with this office. Note: Submittal of a compliance statement will be considered as evidence that the supervising professional has properly addressed all items identified in this plan review letter. A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on -site during construction. If plan index sheets were submitted in lieu of additional full plan sets, a copy of this approval letter and index sheet shall be attached to plans that correspond with the copy on file with the copy on file in this office. All permits are required to be obtained prior to commencement of work. In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this review shall relieve the designer of the responsibility for designing a safe building, structure, or component. The City of Oshkosh does not take responsibility for the design or construction of the reviewed items.
