Marcus Theatres Corporation legal department:

Parking Easement and Maintenance Agreement
Amendment to Letter of Agreement
Please review and advise the procedure we need to follow for this 4 Screen Addition approval
process.
For your information, I also spoke with Tony Lang in reference to storm water drainage plans.
After informing him that our addition is only 6,394SF, he concluded that no storm water
detention plans would be required.

• COMM 50.12 This review does not include heating, ventilating or air conditioning or Lighting. The owner
should be reminded that HVAC and Lighting plans and calculations are required to be submitted for review
and approval prior to installation.
A copy of the approved plans, specifications and this letter shall be on -site during construction and open to
inspection by authorized representatives of the Department, which may include local inspectors. All permits
required by the state or the local municipality shall be obtained prior to commencement of
construction /installation/operation.

• COMM 52.012(3)(a) and (b) The storage rooms shown are not subdivided into 100 square foot areas by
fire- resistive construction having a minimum 30- minute rating and doorways protected by at least 20- minute
fire door assemblies. This requires them to have automatic sprinkler protection. An alternative would be to
isolate the storage area into rooms not exceeding 1,500 square feet with at least 1 -hour fire- resistive
construction, a minimum 3/4 -hour protection of openings, and a properly wired detection and alarm system.
• COMM 50.155 If the storage rooms are to be fully protected by an automatic fire sprinkler system (see NFPA
13) ,The owner shall have and make available upon request by the department, or its authorized representative,
a copy of the reports documenting the acceptability of the completed system (see NFPA 13 -1999, sections 1 -10
and 1 -11).
