Regarding: Copps Food Center Remodeling — Building Permit

Dear Mr. Dannhoff:
Enclosed with this letter are two (2) sets of Remodeling Plans for the Copps Food Center at
1200 S. Koeller in Oshkosh, a check for $365, and a copy of my original fax correspondence
to you regarding this project dated August 14, 2001. This information is being sent to you to
apply for the Building Permit. We are hoping to begin construction next week.
The Building Contractor portion of the project amounts to $110,000. This does not include the
Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning, Electrical, and Plumbing Work. The subcontractors
for this work will apply for their own Building Permit to cover their portion of the work. The
HVAC contractor will most likely be Ahern -Gross and the Electrical Contractor will probably
be Giraffe Electrical. The HVAC work is only allowanced right now at about $500 as it only
includes minor duct modifications.
Pete Bentzen, our estimator /project manager for this project, said that he spoke with you today
and that you said you would not have to review these building plans, because of the minor
work that we are doing. Is this true? I have stamped and signed these plans anyway as the
Architect of Record for the project.

Included with this fax transmittal is a reduced copy of the floor plan for the Copps Food Center at 1200 S.
Koeller St.in Oshkosh showing the areas that we are proposing to remodel. Can you review this locally
instead of sending it to the State for approval considering the minor modifications that are
involved? The modifications that are listed below are keyed by number on the plan that is included:
1. The sliding double cart door will be removed and replaced with a stud wall.
2. The Floral door will be removed and replaced with a window.
3. The Money Room will be divided into a Money Room & Counting Room.
4. Beer refrigerated cases will be added.
5. A dropped soffit will be added above the new bumped out Meat Display Area.
6. The dropped soffit at the deli area will be modified to include a new angled corner.
7. A door may be added into the Deli. Area.
8. Add an office in the Produce Prep. Area.
9. The above -floor pan washer will be replaced with a pit style pan washer.
