The non - functioning fumace not only affects habitability status of the house but also further damage could be caused by water pipes freezing and rupturing. Also, the venting for the appliances must be done to code to ensure that the appliances draft properly and are not causing a carbon monoxide problem. The required repairs need to be addressed immediately. Violations must be corrected and approved within 30 days unless otherwise noted. Call for reinspections prior to concealment and /or occupancy.
