CITY HALL 215 Church Avenue P.O. Box 1130 Oshkosh, Wisconsin City of Oshkosh - QIHKQlH MEMORANDUM Date: December 9, 2010 To: Mark Rohloff, City Manager From: John Fitzpatrick, Assistant City Manager / Director of Administrative Services Re: Employee Handbook Update I am pleased to report that we have finished the employee handbook consolidation project that we have been working on. As you know, this has been an effort to bring together into one handbook our Personnel Policy Manual, Harassment Policy, Information Technology Policy, Military Leave Policy, Employee ID Policy, Safety Manual, Return to Work Policy and Travel Policy so it will be easier for our employees to reference. In addition to revisions made to clarify our business practices, the majority of our time was focused on the updates made to the harassment section and by adding information in regard to laws enacted or updated since the last policies were put in place such as; the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). It is our intent to continue to update these and our other policies on a more regular basis in the future so as to keep our employees better informed of the information they need to operate efficiently and effectively here with the City of Oshkosh. Please let me know if you or any of the Council Members have any questions and thank you for your support and assistance with this process. Attachment: Employee Handbook cot
