Steven M. Gohde, Assistant Director of Public Works
November 18, 2010
Approve Local Road Agreement with Department of Transportation for Revisions Related
to the Reconstruction of US Highway 41 at US Highway 45.
BACKGROUND
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reconstructing US Highway 41 through the City of
Oshkosh, including the interchange with US Highway 45 (Algoma Blvd). The resulting roadway layout
changes the mileage of streets the City is responsible to maintain. This agreement shows the changes in
roadway distances in the area of US Highway 45 and gives the City the jurisdiction to manage these
roadway segments within the City of Oshkosh.
ANALYSIS
The net change in local roadway length is an increase of 350 feet or 0.07 miles.
FISCAL IMPACT
The minimal change in local roadway length will have a very small impact on the City's costs to maintain
these roads or the funding received from the State of Wisconsin based on local roadway length.
RECOMMENDATIONS
I recommend approval of the revised Local Road Agreement.
Respectfully Submitted,
&" yon
