Brief History: Orders issued June 22, 1995 and again July 19, 1995. The building was
posted Unfit for Human Habitation on July 20, 1995. During an inspection with the owner on
August 11, 1995 the interior was inspected. The inspection revealed severe structural
deterioration to the ceilings, roof and floors in some areas. The owner agreed the building should
be razed and is considering doing it himself. If possible the owner wants to use the existing
foundation for another building. I informed him that this may not be possible due to Zoning &
Building Codes.

3 18 -79.1A The dwelling is in a deteriorating and unmaintained condition with sagging roof lines, floors,
decayed window sills and a generally poor condition which tends to reduce property values
in the neighborhood. This violation has been referred to building inspector for correction.
An inspection of the interior will be required to determine whether or not building permits
will be issued for repair of the dwelling. Please contact the Building Inspector (236 -5050) to
make arrangements for an inspection.
4 NEC 210 The electrical service entrance cable is severely deteriorated creating a fire /shock hazard.
The electrical service shall be replaced per requirements of the Electrical Inspector. John

5 7 -8 There is no building permit on file for the metal shed South of the dwelling. A plot plan and
permit are required.

CORRECTION SCHEDULE
Items #1 & #2 shall be corrected before June 30, 1995.
Item #5 shall be corrected before July 7, 1995.
Item #4 shall be corrected per requirements of Electrical Inspector. (July 26, 1995)
Item #3 will require contact with the Building Inspector and an inspection of interior
foundation and roof structure. Building Inspector to be contacted before July 31,

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
COMPLAINANT: REFUSED
Officer was sent to 1930 Minerva to investigate the fact that an
abandoned home there apparently is being entered nightly as the
front door is open every morning. The officer went there and
found that the home had been placarded by the Health Department
on July 20, 1995, stating it is not fit for human habitation, and
the home is deserted.
The front door was locked by this officer but the back door
cannot be locked. The back door has been locked by a nail in the
past, but I could not find a hammer to secure it. I checked with
neighbors and could not find out who owns the home, and am asking
that a copy of this report be sent to the Health Department to
investigate the status of whether the home is going to be razed
or not, as apparently it is being entered by juveniles.
I could find no signs inside the home that it is being slept in
at night, and due to the cold weather I don't believe anyone is
staying overnight, but it is apparent kids are coming and going
from the home. The Health Department probably knows who owns the
home and can contact them to raze the home.
This is the only information this officer has at the time of this
report, and am asking that a copy of it be referred to the Health
Department for appropriate action.
